I decided to create The Recovery Nest as I want to celebrate and encourage others who are overcoming the odds and striving for a happier healthier life, addiction free! I myself am in Recovery from a 15 year alcohol dependency- so I know first hand how tough it can be. I want you to know there is NO SHAME just admiration for anyone working hard for a better life free from their compulsions! Addictions come in all shapes and sizes and affects so many of us! Whether it's substances, sex, gambling or disordered eating- Recovery from whatever your vice is, is something to be celebrated and applauded! If no one has told you today- I'm proud of you! You are not alone.. Keep going, keep growing!
