This is one of the very few pictures I create that are inspired by a famous artist. I make approx 2 or 3 pictures a year and only pick from a very small selection of my favourite artists: Matisse, Picasso, Klimt. I do these because they are self-indulgent, calming, relaxing, and just chill me out. Good enough reason I think.

Full description

Unique Handmade Fused Glass 'The Dancer' Portrait.

Gallery Price: £115.00. From me: £85.00.

Eye-catching and sure to look great in any room.

I have taken my inspiration for this picture from Henri Matisse's paper-cut pieces.

During the last decade of his life Henri Matisse deployed two simple materials—white paper and gouache—to create works of wide-ranging colour and complexity. An unorthodox implement, a pair of scissors, was the tool Matisse used to transform paint and paper into a world of plants, animals, figures, and shapes.

I make approx 2 Artist interpretations a year. They are my 'not so secrete' passion. I enjoy doing them and treat them as very much loved projects.

This glass picture is a combination of confetti glass, bullseye glass, glass frit, and glassline powders. It is 100% glass!

Frame: 31cm x 38cm x 2.5cm. (the frame has attachments on the reverse for hanging).

Picture: 18.7cm x 25.5cm x 6mm.
