As soon as the season changes and spring arrives I become wildly inspired with all that is growing. Nature is beautiful and poppies are fascinating - I love drawing them and creating stylised prints around them. I love that the monotone makes the design even more striking.
This is the beginning of a collection of flowers and I may even print them in colour sometime.

Full description
'Poppies' is an original linocut print designed, carved and printed by me in my printmaking studio in Bath.
This linocut is printed by hand using rollers and a traditional book press; although all prints are of a same design the nature of the print process may cause some slight variations.
Printed using oil based relief ink in black onto 180gsm Bread & Butter Cartridge Paper.
Paper size A4 (21cm x 29.7cm). Will fit a standard A4 frame.
Approx. Image size 14cm x 16.5cm.
A limited edition of 200. Please note the print you will receive may not be the edition number shown.
The print will be titled, numbered and signed by me, the artist.
The print will be wrapped in tissue paper and sent in a protective brown tube or protected in mountboard/cardboard/pulpboard for posting. Minimal plastic will be used.
I currently dispatch to U.K only.
Please note the price is purely for ONE print shown and not any additional items in the photograph.
