Orchardton Tower dates from Mid 1400s and is one of the only round towers still standing in Scotland. It stands on rolling hills in small hamlet of Orchardton, near Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. My family has been coming here for over 20 years, and I have a particular fondness for the castle, that's why I created the embroidery design for the bags.

These beautiful small cross body bags feature Orchardton Tower in Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland. Ideal for shopping, days out walking etc, it has a soft feel, small for your essential items. Using batik 100% cotton fabric on the front, each bag has digitised embroidery of the castle buildings and round tower, with freemotion embroidered trees and swifts flying in a sunset batik cotton sky. The bag has a soft feel with an adjustable strap and zipped top, cotton canvas back, faux leather base. A one of a kind design, it is a beautiful little bag for anyone fond of the area.
