This warm, burnt orange stone is a variety of Chalcedony, a member of the Quartz family.
Used as an adornment for over 4,500 years, this stone has come to symbolise health, luck and royalty.
It was prescribed by ancient healers to 'invigorate the blood'.
It is considered a birthstone for July and Cancer, as an alternative to Ruby, and a Zodiac sign for Virgo.

Full description
Pretty orange Carnelian necklace with the glitter of pale lemon Swarovski crystal bicones.
A mix of Carnelian beads, 4mm and 6mm rounds and 8-9mm nuggets in a lovely sunset orange colour, semi-translucent with inclusions of darker orange and black, and roughly oval in shape.
Sparkly 4mm Swarovski crystals, in a colour called 'jonquil', which is a pale lemon colour, separate the nuggets and embellish the round beads.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan style rose toggle clasp.
This clasp is nickel and lead free.
This striking necklace measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
