Full description
This striking scarf has been made using soft merino wool fibres. A central band of white is surrounded by a border of bright rainbow colours.
The central white band has been nuno felted, a process whereby a fine layer of woollen fibres is felted to both sides of a piece of silk chiffon. This allows the scarf to remain lightweight whilst the silk chiffon gives strength to the resulting fabric. The rainbow border has been added around the edge and the ruffled effect created by the arrangement of the fibres and their manipulation during the felting process.
The resulting scarf Is lightweight, soft and warm and measures approximately 150cm (59") x 30cm (12"), long enough to tie in a knot or wrap around the neck for extra warmth if required.
A lovely gift for mothers day or any other occasion.
The scarf will be shipped wrapped in tissue paper with a card explaining the felting process and washing instructions.
Handwash only in warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
