Full description
I'm constantly asked if I can make bigger taller campfire tripods and though I do my best to accommodate, making them longer than a 120cm package bumps up the shipping cost considerably - particularly on international orders. To my mind there is also a considerable advantage to the campfire tripod being as portable as possible.
These simple extenders solve both issues! Simply fitted to the standard tripod, they add an extra 60cm (2 feet) of height, allowing the tripod to span a larger fire pit or accommodate a larger pot or grill.
This is a robust bit of kit and should survive many years of use but as with all steel products, it needs a bit of TLC to protect it from moisture. As new, the forged ends are protected with wax while hot which soaks in and helps keep the surface fresh. Through time, it would appreciate a little rub with oil or wax now and again if you heat it slightly over the fire first itll soak in nicely. For anything to be used around food, I recommend using food-safe oils olive or veg oil should do fine, or a quick rub with beeswax.
THIS LISTING IS FOR THE EXTENDERS ONLY. TRIPOD SOLD SEPARATELY!
