Quiff Linen dolls are Art dolls, they are meticulously crafted sculptures that are designed to be admired rather than played with. These dolls are created skillfully using a wide range of materials and techniques. Each doll is unique, reflecting Quiff Linen's style and vision. Due to the amount of time and skill required to make them, they do appear expensive, but they are truly works of art.
Please note Quiff Linen has had to take an enforced break which will cause a delay in the release of new artwork. In the meantime please feel free to contact me with any query.
When creating my Quiff Linen wall art, I have a specific process. First, I search through my fabrics, choose a design and set a theme. Once that's done, I gather complementary materials and decide if my Quiff Linen should be feminine or masculine. After that, I give it a name and create the face. I research characteristics and begin painting. Once the character is complete, I focus on evolving my Quiff Linen with careful attention to detail.
I started Betsy with a silk painting of a puffin, a characterful bird with unique facial features and a clumsy walk. It's a favourite of many people, and I couldn't resist making it into a dangly pin.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Hello, I am Betsy Burrows, puffin counter.
I am a Quiff Linen art doll, designed and handcrafted with attention to detail. As a piece of artwork, I feature a hand-painted silk puffin design. I am the perfect addition to the home of those who love life's wild side or have a particular fondness for the puffin. I can't wait to hang around (sorry about the pun) with you!
All my painted linen and silk used in my creation are authentic and by my creator, making me truly one of a kind.
A linen board painted to depict a puffin paradise serves as a platform for showcasing me. The burrows are visible, making it effortless to count them.
I have a bright-eyed expression, and my face is painted on linen. My hairstyle consists of hand-plaited flax with my signature flax quiff and a side wave.
Look at my colourful character front, painted silk based on that lovable ‘clown of the ocean’, the Puffin.
My arms and hands don't have filling and are secured with buttons and thread that goes through my linen mount board, which is tied at the back. While my upper legs (secured like my arms) don't have filling, my lower legs are filled and form my signature dangly pins. Be sure to check out my feather booties!
A picture hook on my mount board back with a wax seal authenticating me, allows my legs to dangle if I am suspended. Alternatively, you can prop me against an object or place me on a stand to display me.
My board is 16” high and 12" wide.
