Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I've called it Patchwork Squares Jewels and I hope you can see why.
Using some rather gorgeous new types of Luna glass, just arrived, I have formed 9 squares, each comprising 4 triangles of two shades of the same colour of glass. I've added a little square of precious dichroic glass in the centre to give a delicious sparkle to the whole piece.

The colouring is quite dramatic.. I think so anyway.. I have used my favourite combination of colours together, red turquoise purple and turquoise blue, teal and it has the overall effect of a mix of rich jewel colours.
I've framed the picture in clear glass with a pretty texture for good effect and then with a strengthening border of twisted wire.
This looks lovely when it hangs in the light of a window but can equally be used as a picture against a plain wall..
It is 18 cm square hangs from a strong silvery chain which is securely attached to the top.
All my pieces are unique. I use different shades, textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
