Celebrate the joy of the Creator, with wire woven timeless gemstones, caressed into wearable art.
On this occasion I had discovered a new way to mount a cabochon, which I find far easier than I have used before. At first I ended up with too many wires to use in coils. I cut several shorter to better effect. The centres to the flowers were the same as the darker colours in the stone. I changed these for paler ones, which matched the lighter blue in the stone to far better effect. This is why wire wrapping of gemstones are so difficult. No matter how much I plan ahead, often the final result needs to be tweaked to fit that particular stone.

This mottled blue gemstone is brought to life by the flowers that adorn the silver wire wrapping of the cabochon stone. As a gift for a lady who loves blue, it is a sheer delight. It may be worn for any time of day from smart daytime to late in the evening. The outdoor theme makes it perfect for summer wear, especially for the summer holidays when we all spend more time out of doors. It measures 45 x 50 mm, so a little on the large side! Which is fine when the wearer wishes to make a statement about their appearance! It hangs on a snake chain 600 mm long. If you prefer a different length! Just say so!. It will be changed! Nothing is too much trouble!
