After a brilliant time at the Uke Festival I am back and working on new designs. Keep your eyes peeled! Don't forget we love to take on your commissions so please get in touch if we can make something especially for you.
I am very interested in how vintage patterns will look in modern yarns. This is the first of my experiments. It turned out beautifully and so the second one is already underway.

Made as an experimental piece. Added to Seconds Sunday to clear.
A beautiful, one-of-a-kind hand-knit jumper. This is the result of my most recent interest to use gorgeous, modern yarns and recreate vintage knitting or crochet patterns. This one is the result of mixing Scheepjes Merino Soft Yarn and a knitting pattern from Sirdar. It is made to the largest pattern size.
The pattern is simply called "Lady's Jumper" but would look good on anyone. The stitch pattern is interesting and well-defined and the boat neck is very flattering. It lookes amazing in the bright, soft stripes of the beautiful yarn. The yarn has a silky finish and eye-catching, clear, bright colours.
The stitch pattern is quite lacy so you might want to wear something underneath if you're not so confident. Along with it's sleeveless design, this makes it a perfect summer top.
The mannequin I used for display was sold as a UK size 14. The bust of the model is 94cm/37" and the hip is 99cm/39 inches. The jumper has stretch and would fit slightly bigger if you like it tight (the pattern was for a 40 inch bust) and, of course, could be worn more loosely if you take a smaller size.
Fibre content according to yarn band: 50% Merino, 25% Microfibre, 25% Acrylic
It can be washed on a cold cycle. It cannot be tumble dried or ironed.
