Full description
Annie Bell stencils are very popular for many art, craft and home decor projects. They can be used on most surfaces including furniture, walls, glass, fabric, card and paper. You can use sponges, stencilling brushes or and air brush to apply choice of paint.
This stencil is hand drawn and machine cut.
Cut on genuine 190 micron Mylar stencil film, the go to thickness for stencil material.
Mylar is flexible, strong, washable and if looked after it can be reused plenty of times.
Available in size A5, A4 & A3.
How to create a high-quality stencil application
1. Practice stencilling on scrap paper first.
2. Ensure surface you wish to stencil is clean, grease and dust free.
3. Place stencil where you want it, you can cut the stencil if you are stenciling in a narrow place to get the best fit.
4. Use low tack masking tape to secure edges of stencil to surface. Or use repositional low tack adhesive spray.
5. Don’t load your brush or sponge up with too much paint, remove any excess.
6. Less is more, the dryer the brush or sponge the better. Use light circular or tapping movements with brush or sponge and go with the cut of the stencil not against or across it to avoid paint leaking underneath.
7. If using an airbrush, very lightly spray several times, avoid heavy spraying.
8. Make sure each coat of paint is completely dry before applying another. Once dry you can peel the stencil off to reveal your design. Clean stencil with lukewarm water.
