Full description
Blackthorn staff, Walking stick, Heavy duty hiking staff. This staff is a true champion of the Blackthorn species, in heft, and beauty! As a previous customer of mine once said "a beast of a stick"! The light reflects powerful shades of copper, gold and purple through the High gloss (and waterproofing) varnish. The shank has many thorn nubs, and a naturally formed handle which falls to either hand very comfortably. The bare ends of the handle and the branch protrusion have been capped with thick pieces of Water Buffalo Horn, the rough texture of the horn has been left visible and lends a rustic aesthetic to the staff.
47 inches (119cm) top to tip, 1.5 inches (3.8cm) handle diameter, 1.25 inches (3cm) under the handle tapering to approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) at the tip.
A brass, polished ferrule will be fitted prior to dispatch.
