Some of my work is currently being exhibited at The National Trust, Lamb House, Rye as part of their exhibition "300 years of Lamb House".

I love the intelligence of the birds in the corvid family. I have spent some time recently with a group of rooks feeding them and knew I had to make a print.

Full description

Beautiful corvid artwork from an exhibiting UK artist. I have used the rook which is found in many folklore stories and mythological tails. The birds are a sign of many things and have a fairytail feel to them. I added gold highlights to the key which the rook is carrying to make it shine. This is an original linocut print which I have hand carved and handprinted in my Sussex studio. The print is titled Rook with Key and is part of an unlimited print run.

This was inspired by the rooks that I feed locally which have become quite tame. Their regal bearing has a feel making them the perfect inspiraion. The golden key seemed to fit with the rook and it's mystery.

The perfect gift for anyone into birds or interested in folklore, pagen, gothic, witchy or mythological art.

The print is 20cm x 14cm. Printed using Caligo Safewash inks and HoSho paper.

Free postage - At present I post to the UK only.
