I painted this from photos I took at this spot in the Scottish Highlands on my trip many years ago. We were standing at the lookout by the Loch at the Eilean Donan Castle. We had the most amazing sky reflections in the water with quite a lot of clouds but still sunny. I was taken aback by the view of the distant mountains of the Isle of Skye in the distance so I painted the scene as I saw it exactly that day.
