Full description

Ankh pendant made from pewter, electroformed in copper and pure gold. The key of life is representative of eternal life in Ancient Egypt. The ankh may represent water, air, and the sun, which were meant to provide and preserve life in Ancient Egyptian culture.

I used a cuttlebone casting technique, which is an ancient technique that was used in Mediterranean countries for centuries. I melt the pewter in a crucible and pour it into the mould. This creates a mottled rich textured Ankh as a one-of-a-kind jewellery piece. The Ankh was then electroformed in copper and then pure gold 24 karats.
