Full description

Handmade stoneware tile with Ship at Sea image, large tile 15.5cm2 with a rustic finish and a slight chip in top left corner

This tile was made to test clay and glazes and is being sold as an end of line piece in the Super Seconds Festival at 50% OFF the retail price.

Slab built in rustic stoneware and finished with a vintage off white glaze and an original delft inspired watercolour illustration by House of Hawks.

Original watercolours are from a collaboration with images taken from Ben at House of Hawks and fired onto my pottery during a third firing.

Fired to 1250 degrees - strong, robust and waterproof tiles.

Great as large coasters, spoon rests or for decorative purposes; on a mantel piece as they stand alone really nicely.

Food safe and dishwasher safe but always best to wash handmade items by hand.

Designed by Melanie Van de velde in South Wales
