Who knew the collective noun for crabs was a consortium? This 9" hoop has patterned fabric and raw silk as the background for the hand cut fiddly little crabs. They have hand stitched feet and eye stalks, with a cute little black french knot for the eyes. Some of the patterned fabric has also been over stitched. It's been finished on the back with felt that's been hand sewn. The caption is hand written with acrylic paint pens. This is a unique piece of work but a similar piece can be made to order.
