I started carving a face, thinking to make a candle stick holder, but it sort of developed into a table lamp.. the gold leaf flowers was applied today (I think it is dutch gold, its been in a tin for ages), so quite pleased. If you look carefully there are three shades under the finishing gold wax, as the top was green stone finish, the face a sort of orange and the base flame red. It is second hand, as I have been using it. As I am not an electrician I will remove the plug and the buyer will have to have a competent person check the electrics before use...if you think about it, I am sure you will agree... health and safety with electrics.... at the school I taught at we had a pat testing box, but I haven't access to it now...this has been tested with a mega, the electrics are from B&Q and good quality....I view myself as a competent person and used it for a few months, so it is technically second hand,....but... safety first, hence I will remove the plug....
