Full description

Every one of these beautiful little scallop seashells is handcrafted in solid 18ct recycled gold using traditional silversmithing techniques. I love the embossed detail on it as well as the shiny finish, but if you prefer more matt or satin look, please do let me know.

The ear post and scroll are 9ct yellow gold, but can be upgraded to 18ct gold for an extra cost. 18ct gold, due to the high content of pure gold, is considered to be kind to sensitive skin and therefore a good choice for most people with allergies.

There is also a choice of ear post length. A standard length is 9.5mm, but depending on the thickness of your earlobe and how flush you would like your jewellery to sit against your skin, you might prefer a shorter length of either 8mm or 6mm. Some people prefer to go for shorter 6mm length for upper lobe, for example.

The gold used for making the studs comes in a recycled form from a reputable supplier based in Hatton Garden, the famous jewellery quarter in London.
