I love the traditional knitting patterns or the British Isle, whether it’s Fair Isle, Guernsey, Aran etc. I thought it might be fun to try one in miniature form for a little frog, and I think it suits him rather well!

Full description

Using the original Dot Pebbles pattern, this little chap has been knitted in a mixture of Alpaca and Shetland yarns. He has light blue eyes that contrast well with his brown mottled skin.

Warmly attired in an Aran style sweater with a cable design, flecked blue trousers and little brown boots - he is a very stylish Frog. The boots have not been made by me, but from Natalie Martin aka Blacksparrowuk.

I’ve used plastic safety eyes and florist wire in all his limbs to make him posable. When wearing his boots he can stand unaided! He is filled with 100% sheep’s wool.

His body measures approximately 8cm and his hind legs when extended add an additional 8cm. I have endeavoured to conceal the wires, however, from time to time one might work through to the surface. Gently reposition the yarn over the wire to hide again.

He would look comfortably at home on a shelf or bedside table. Alternatively, he could be a friendly work companion on your desk, or nestled in a pocket.

Please note that due to small parts and wire he is not suitable for very young children or pets. He is NOT classed as a toy but as a decorative item.

I’m now posting worldwide and use recycled or recyclable packaging. I usually post out next working day and use Royal Mail tracked service.

Please feel free to ask any further questions.
