This handmade sewing box has a pincushion and elasticated pocket. It is padded and lined and has a removable lid.
The exterior surfaces are covered with a beautiful soft cotton patterned fabric and the interior surfaces are covered with a pale pink cotton fabric. All fabrics are 100% cotton and all surfaces apart from the exterior of the base are padded.
Entirely handmade, this sewing box would make a marvellous gift for a sewing friend or even for yourself! The interior of the box is roomy, for storage of scissors, thread and other sewing notions. The pincushion is fixed inside the lid to provide a safe home for pins and the integral elasticated pocket can be used to keep packets of needles safely. The lid itself can double up as a handy tray to keep loose items together while you are sewing.
The overall size of this sewing box is 7 inches (18 cm) wide by 7 inches (18 cm) deep by 5 inches (12.75 cm) high.
The lid itself is 7 inches (18 cm) wide by 7 inches (18 cm) deep by 2 inches (5 cm) high and it fits onto the base, which is 6.25 inches (16 cm) wide by 6.25 inches (16 cm) deep by 4.25 inches ( 10.5 cm) high.
