We love walking and when we see beautiful feathers we can't resist gathering them up. Each one is uniquely beautiful with a form and structure of its own.

A mono print of wo beautiful pale lilac and grey duck feathers., available as the print only (unmounted and unframed) or framed
A monoprint is a print 1/1 (not a photocopy) created by a printmaker using inks and a glass plate to produce the image onto paper. We us a large vintage printing press for our work.
Each feather is inked using a mix of colours of intaglio inks to create this beautiful light blue/grey/lilac colour. The feathers are then hand hand pressed. Great care has to be taken to prevent clogging and to ensure each tiny strand shows. This print has added detail of good leaf.
The feather is then hand pressed onto high quality art paper to create the image.
Each feather can only be used once which is why this is called a mono print. The feather has not been used multiple times to create several prints, nor is this a copy of the original. Because this is a monoprint you know you are buying a unique item.
