Full description

Chemistry, science / steampunk mini trinket, jewellery or keepsake box created by upcycling a real (but past its best) antique "Chemical News" chemistry journal dating from 1875 (Victorian). This chemistry / steampunk mini box is small, and would make a great ring box for a wedding, or keepsake / trinket box for a scientist or steampunk fan.

It features snippets of scientific articles and adverts from the journal, giving a fascinating insight in to scientific language, materials and writing styles in the Victoria era. These snippets have been decoupaged on to a wooden box, with the inside painted using left ove green wall emulsion paint which would have otherwise have gone to waste.

Keep dry, clean using a soft cloth. Household decorative item only. Closes with a snap fastening.
