I made this small butterfly ring a while ago and thought it time to update the design a little.
This is really pretty, with 4 dainty butterflies attached to a ring of twisted wire with two scrolls in the centre. This would make a lovely present for anyone and is quite eye catching.
This butterfly ring consisting of 4 butterflies made from different shades of turquoise stained glass - a lovely combination of colours and texture attached to a circle of twisted wire.
Each butterfly has been hand cut from beautiful stained glass so it will not fade in the sun, the glass is ground to take off any sharp edges, washed and foiled then tinned before the pieces are soldered together to form a lovely suncatcher. The antenna are made from tinned copper wire. A small ring and length of fishing line have been attached for hanging purposes.
Each butterfly measures 5.5cms x 6cms approx, the wire circle is approx 16.5cms but the overall size of this suncatcher is 22cm because of how I arrange the butterflies - this is an approximate measurement as being made by hand the circle is not perfectly round.
I will supply a window hook so you can hang the butterfly ring in the window as soon as it is received. Please remember to wet the plunger before pushing firmly onto the window.
