Butterflies are fascinating how they flutter in the sky, dependent on where the wind blows as to where they can land.
This stained glass butterfly is larger than I normally make. It has been made from a selection of vibrantly coloured stained glass so it will certainly add a splash of colour.
Each piece of glass has been cut by hand, ground, washed, foiled, soldered together, washed again and polished. Wire has been twisted for the antenna and hanging rings, I have also attached a length of fishing line.
The butterfly measures 18.5 cms across by 13 cms excluding antenna.
I have used dark yellow sea glass, red wissmach glass , orange rough rolled glass, teal corella glass, blue wissmach glass and green corella glass. A lovely selection of colours and textures.
This would be lovely hanging in any window and does not have to be hung in direct sunlight to look pretty.
I will supply one sky hook with each suncatcher for hanging in the window. Please remember to wet the plunger before pushing firmly onto the window.
