Full description
This would make a perfect unique gift for those with an interest in music. Each quaver note is different as it uses different coloured glass, some of which are made from hand rolled glass. Hand up the suncatcher in a sunny window or with the opaque one hang against a plain background to see the beauty of the glass.
Each musical note is made using the copper foil method. To make the glass is hand cut, grinded to shape and wrapped in copper foil. It is then soldered using 60/40 solder and washed thoroughly afterwards. The dark blue note has been left silver and the others have gone through an extra process of applying a patina to give a black finished look to the solder. It is then waxed to seal and polished to a shine.
Each note measures 14cm in length and a loop is attached to the top to attach a ribbon. It comes with some clear nylon wire attached.
