inspired by street/urban art and specifically an art projaect that involved painting the shells of live snails with non toxic paint before releasing them around the country , I wasen't involved in this but it did result in me coming up with this idea. I used the seame street reference as the fun ,quirky programme has always been a favorite of mine and the wording and eyeballs have been used on many clothing and merchandise.

Full description
A funky polymere clay snail in neon pink and orange with a natural painted shell..This one has a well known caption from Sesame street's cookie monster "nom nom" with googly eyeballs. The shell was painted with white acrylic and the text added with pink and black pen. The whole shell was then painted with varnish to seal the design.
The snail's body was a mixture of neon pink and orange clay creating a marbelling effect and then modelled into a snail shape,oven baked and then stuck to the shell with strong glue.
He will be sent inside a box wrapped in bubblewrap.
