Ladybird books and listening to stories was a huge part of my childhood. If you grew up in the UK during the 1960's and 1970's, then you were sure to have experienced these books at home or at school. I have turned what was once a loved old book into bunting and given a new life to some wonderful illustrations.

Full description

This is a long length of paper bunting, made from an entire vintage Ladybird book - 'The Enormous Turnip'.

There are 25 triangular flags measuring 10cm x 17cm hung 2cm apart. The colour images are on the face of the bunting and the story on the reverse.

The bunting is 400cm long and includes 30cm each end for tying. Each flag has been cut from one page of the book, edged in bright green machine stitching and then sewn into matching green binding.

This would make a perfect gift for a vintage inspired nursery or playroom, for a lover of Ladybird books and their illustrations.
