I've always loved painted animals but i wanted to try a different style that would make it relevant to a design asthetic. I'd noticed over the last few years many textile pieces that were patchwork animal themed and also collages that were more craft orientated,the whole handcrafted style has become more popular recently so for this image i've moved away from more traditional painting and chose to combine sections of it in different mediums and techniques to produce a similar patchwork effect aswell as a more stylised representation of an animal.

Full description
A sweet liitl dormouse ,curled up in hibernation with a circle of autumn leaves and hazel nuts. Painted in an abstract,patchwork style that arose from collages i'd previously made, Some sections have been applied using a wooden print block,the rest is handpainted in watercolor.
Ideal gift for an animal lover.
sent inside a cellophane sleeve and reinforced envelope.
