Full description

Beautiful, dainty, faceted natural claret red Garnet rectangles suspended from gold plated 925 Sterling Silver ear studs. The garnets will drop just below the ear lobe and allow light to shine though these wonderful gemstones to highlight their natural colour.

Garnets are the birthstone for January and are also recommended as a gift for both 2nd & 6th wedding anniversary.

Garnets have been used in jewellery for many years and have been found in ancient jewellery dating back as far as 3500BC, used by the Aztecs, Romans, Egyptians and native Americans. It is believed to be associated with fire, passion and romance and still to this day continues to be a symbol of love. In the beliefs of crystal healing properties Garnet is said to be a traveller's stone, in fact, many courageous discoverers and adventurers were known to wear garnet stones for protection.
