Full description

These will look stunning for any special occasion and equally worn daily for a chic modern look.

Pearls are the Birthstone for June. A Pearl is one of just a handful of organic gems (others being Coral, Amber and Jet). Pearls grow inside a mollusc, such as oysters, clams, and mussels. When a foreign object, such as a grain of sand, enters a mollusc it becomes an irritant to the creature inside, so in order to protect itself it releases a silky substance, known as nacre, to cover the irritant. Over time the mollusc will continue to release nacre over the foreign body and when the mollusc is opened three to five years later, the foreign body has been turned into a glorious Pearl.

When cared for properly, Pearls will last a lifetime. It is recommended to wear them often as the bodys natural oils help maintain the Pearls orient, but it is also advisable to keep them away from household chemicals, as well as perfume, make-up and hair spray.

Zircon is said to be the oldest gem on earth and is far older than even the most ancient Diamond, it is a top quality gem, rare, extremely beautiful and very durable.
