Full description
This gorgeous textile art picture has been made using strips of silk fabric needle felted to a piece of backing felt. Woollen fibres have also been added in small amounts to enhance the picture and add texture and to create the poppies. The stems of the poppies and the birds have been added with stitching. The picture shows the fields in summer with several poppies added. Needle felting the fabric and fibres creates a wonderful texture to the work and binds everything together, negating the need for any sewing.
The completed picture has been framed in a wooden frame measures approximately 15cm x 16cm. Brass fittings and a hanging string have been added to the rear of the frame.
Please note: the photographs have been taken with the glass removed from the frame to avoid unwanted reflections.
