I really appreciate functional art - if you can safely use a piece it makes it much more appealing to me.

A lovely platter in white with streaky shades of blue, with a random, streaky pattern embedded within. As the streaky pattern is totally random there will never be another the same as this one.
The platter is made from 2 squares of hand-cut glass - a base of the streaky that is capped by a sheet of clear glass. The whole piece is baked at around 800 C in the kiln. The kiln controls the heating and cooling, ensuring that all stresses are removed from the glass, making it safe and strong for you.
A second session in the kiln on a mould gives the piece its shape.
Each platter has little rubber feet (LRF) glued to the base to provide stability and protect your furniture.
These are ideal as sweet or nut dishes, or form a decoration in their own right - you choose. They are food-safe but please hand-wash only.
PS: The cakes are not included in the sale - They're mine!
