Full description
The simplicity of the colours and design of this little vase is what makes it stand out.
It is approximately 16.5 cm across its hexagonal top with a base that is 6 cm in diameter. It is approximately 8 cm tall.
It makes a great decoration either with flowers in it or just on its own. It can also serve as a candle holder for a pillar candle. It is really stable on its flat base.
It is made from a hand-cut hexagon of white glass overlaid with a similarly shaped piece of clear glass. Flakes of coloured glass (confetti) are sprinkled on it in a random fashion before an initial session in the kiln which fuses everything together. A second visit to the kiln with the hexagon placed on a doughnut-shaped mould which is supported well above the kiln floor allows the glass to flow into this organic shape. This causes some of the confetti pieces to flow into different shapes down the body of the vase.
As the glass is chosen, cut and placed by hand this piece is unique and there will never be another the same as this.
