A needle felted woollen sculpture of a green man.
The green man is traditionally thought of as a symbol for rebirth.
The base and features of this green man have been created using woollen fibres that have been sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle. The leaves around the circumference have been cut from a piece of wet felted hand made felt and attached to the base by needle felting them into position. A small brass ring has been secured to the reverse of the sculpture to facilitate hanging.
The green man measures approximately 9" (23cm) in diameter.
I would not recommend hanging this green man outside.
