I bought some beautiful dark green yarn having found a very dark green frog in my garden a few weeks back. The warm autumn weather had brought him out and he was so dark. Having knitted this little one, I just fell in love with him and have actually found him quite a wrench to part with. He looks so earnest and a little bit timid. I hope he finds a loving home.

Full description
Hand knitted by me from a dot pebbles pattern, this little frog is knitted using a mix of Alpaca and Mohair Kid Silk yarns and is filled with sheep wool.
I’ve used plastic safety eyes and yarn bound florist wire in the forelegs to make him posable.
I don’t usually name my frogs as I feel this should be something their new owner chooses to do or not. However, this little one was a bit of an experiment with some finer yarn and I think he just looks like a Maurice!!
He’s smaller than all the others and looks a little timid - a little scared about the big wide world. I think he needs someone to take care of him!
His festive sweater is knitted with Alpaca yarn and has a Christmas tree design knitted on the front. This is embellished with glass beads and a vintage diamanté bead.
He measures approximately 7cm from the tip of his nose to the base of his tail. His hind legs add an additional 8cm to his length.
He would look comfortably at home nestled within the branches of a Christmas tree or in amongst a festive display.
Alternatively, he could just be a friendly companion on your desk or carried in a pocket!
Please note that due to small parts and wire he is not suitable for very young children or pets. He is NOT classed as a toy but as a decorative item.
