Making simple creatures with people learning to felt led me to make use of found objects and natural materials. Hopefully inspiring new ideas and projects for others!
Fleece made into a ball or strands of wool fibre wrapped around a pinecone ... wet felted, dried and embellished.

Full description
A natural wool felted mouse made from two balls stitched together. Its mouse friend was felted round a little pinecone. Stitched features, plied tails and nylon thread whiskers added after. The cat's lace collar can be removed.
