The print is inspired by the collaboration of Craft Festival, Folksy, Heritage Crafts, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, Find A Maker and Crafts Council, and our continued love and support of makers who make by hand.
Creating a print in the letterpress print shop is inspiring by just using the time-honoured materials and process of printing by hand.

The official poster for the 'Buy Less, Buy Better, Buy Handmade' campaign.
This A3 poster has been printed by hand by Nick Hand, using wood type and borders on a beautiful warm natural cream paper. It is an original letterpress print made with a Swiss proofing press.
The ink is warm red. Both the ink and paper are recovered from old print works and are at least 50 years old. The wood type is older still and (like us) carries its little dinks and scars of age.
This poster has been made to support the national campaign for craft - Buy Less, Buy Better, Buy Handmade - a collaboration between Craft Festival, Folksy, Heritage Crafts, Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair, Find A Maker and Crafts Council.
