My fused glass dichroic nuggets, made in my microwave hotpot kiln, are great fun to make but the dichroic glass I use is very expensive. I guard it like gold dust. I love opening the kiln when the fusing is complete as I never know quite what I will have made.
I really enjoy making these colour wheels which is why I now make them in several different colour

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A gorgeous colour wheel in shades of the sea.
The wheels are 9.5 cm in diameter excluding the chain.
The 8 segment wheels are formed round a central dichroic nugget, a very pretty little jewel I fused specially in my kiln. The jewels are all different and have an extra special shimmer as that is what dichroic glass does. I call it magic.
The wheel hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
It makes a wonderfully bright addition to any room.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
I can never make another just the same as this, as my dichroic nuggets are unrepeatable.
