Transport yourself to the plains of Africa with this rich and colourful handmade patchwork quilt in Safari Life fabric. Designed by Stacy lest Hsu for Moda, Safari Life exudes the warm vibrancy and intermingled calls of the African plains.
The front of this single quilt is arranged in a patchwork design of squares and rectangles with small squares of Dash Dash on Gold trailing through the design and into the border and binding.
The outer border is Giraffe Family on Black which creates a beautiful dark coloured frame to offset the rich colours in the quilt.
Reverse the quilt and you have a backing of Safari Kingdom on Black - all creatures great and small are making their way to the watering-hole at the end of the day.
The visual impact of the various designs produced in warm, ethnic shades of burnt orange, yellow, black, khaki, amber, dijon and turquoise is absolutely stunning.
The quilt has been professionally quilted by Lismore Quilting and the all over pattern of foliage and elephants creates a beautiful swirling pattern of movement and texture.
High quality cotton fabric and threads have been used throughout and a layer of warm, natural Quilters Dream wadding added between the layers.
Size 78 x 65 (198cm x 165cm) - this makes a very generous single bed size quilt or throw for a double bed.
A quilt to transform any room and one that would appeal to all ages of Safari dreamers.
