ScruffBagz - Fairyfloss
'ScruffBagz' ... the perfectly imperfect bag.
Bags full of character and quirkiness - embellished with tassels, ribbons and more.
These bags are unlined ... but then anything else and they wouldn't be Scruffbagz!
Scruffbagz are hand knitted with hand spun and dyed yarn ... hand made from raw fleece to finished knitted bag. The fibre is spun in the traditional way on a vintage spinning wheel. The wool for this bag is spun from Romney fibre - a conservation breed sheep.
For this bag I chose a chunky 'Fairy Floss' yarn in pink, white and blue ... just like the fairground candy floss. The pastel coloured yarn is complemented with matching ribbons and tassels. Note: the white is not a 'brilliant white', but more of an off white.
Look closely and you will find a spinning wheel charm ... a sign on the Scruffbagz of hand spun yarn. The bag is not rigid, being knitted.
Measurements:
width - approx 9.5 inches when laid flat
height - 8 inches, excluding the handle
height - 18 inches, including the handle
A hand crafted, unique, statement piece.
The bag will arrive flat ... and will take up its shape when filled.
