I wanted to let the flowers do the talking with this one, keeping the background evenly coloured and letting the flowers shine, the blended blues on the petals highlight their ridges and frilly edges, with purple touches in the center. Lovely. Please excuse my attempts at Japanese flower arranging 'Ikebana' in one of the photos.

Full description
This Cyanotype was made on Watercolour paper, that was not fully dry from being coated with light sensitive solution. These Cosmos flowers were so pretty in the garden I was hoping for an equally pretty Photogram and seeing those lovely bright blue petals with purpley centers, was a lovely surprise, the whispy foliage looks a bit 3 dimensional to me and gives the scene a lightness. Originally from China, Kosumosu (Cosmos) grows in vast fields in Japan, the flower shape is similar to the Cherry (Sakura) Blossom and so is known as Autumn Sakura. This Photogram would look wonderful in your home at any time of year!

Created on 300gsm acid free watercolour paper, hinge mounted to a backboard and White mount both acid free and in a fully recyclable protective bag.
Named ‘Aoi’ numbered and signed on the reverse, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as an Original Artwork 1/1
Mounted Size is 10” x 12” (25.4 x 30.48 cm) ready for you to place into a 10” x 12” frame of your choice.
Aperture size is 7” x 9” (17.78 x 22.86 cm)
The photogram will be posted out in an all board envelope which is reusable and recyclable. I purchase packaging made from recycled products whenever I can.
