Handmade Porcelain Votive - with Skully illustration
Thrown by hand on the pottery wheel in strong white porcelain and impressed with dimples before the first firing, finished in clear shiny glaze to glow when in use through the dimples.
This votive was made to test how well a shiny glaze would take an image firing and is being sold as a second in the Super Seconds Festival at 50% OFF the retail price. There is a tiny mark that you can feel on the front just above the right eye socket (it is very small) and the porcelain warper a little in the hot firing, so the finish didn't quite make it through my quality check 100%, however it is still functional and very beautiful.
Fired to 1250 degrees - strong and robust. Handmade in Wales.
Original illustration is from a collaboration with House of hawks, the image is taken from his original watercolour and fired to fuse onto my pottery in a third firing.
9.5cm high x 7.5cm wide to take a large tea light candle.
Please handle with care and never leave naked flames unattended.
