Handmade red stoneware pinch jug - various illustrations
Thrown by hand on the pottery wheel in strong red stoneware clay and finished in vintage white shiney glaze.
These jugs were made to test clay and glazes and are being sold as seconds in the Super Seconds Festival at 50% OFF the retail price. There are small pinholes in the glaze finish so they did not quite make it through my quality check 100%, however they are still functional and beautiful.
Original illustrations are inspired by classic blue delft design in a collaboration with Ben at houseofhawks, images are taken from his original watercolours and fired a third time to fuse onto my pottery.
Fired to 1240 degrees - strong, robust.
Handmade in Wales.
Each jug is approximately 9cm wide, with differing heights:
Zoomies sighthound with clouds - 12.5cm (SOLD)
Zoomies sighthound without clouds - 11cm
Perfect for water or milk or flower arranging. Pinch jugs have no handle but a thumb press on either side to offer a comfortable and alternative way to hold a jug.
As with all kiln fired pieces each jug is unique.
