Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

The little dark blobs on the left hand side of this print are my representation of the cattle which were sitting so peacefully in their scenic home.

Full description
This is an original hand pressed reduction linocut print of the beautiful Scottish island of Gigha. It is based on photographs I took on Gigha a few years ago while visiting a lovely garden there.
I pressed this print at home using the back of a spoon and a bamboo barren.
This is the 5th in an edition of 10 prints. As this is a reduction linocut print there will be no other original prints made from this plate, which was destroyed during the printing process.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Winsor and Newton Smooth Drawing Paper (220gsm).
The print measures approx 6 x 4 inches and the paper is hand cut to approx A5 (landscape orientation).
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will send the print out to you via 1st class Royal Mail Standard Delivery or Standard International Delivery if sending overseas. I charge full postage for the highest priced item, then 20p for each other item mailed within the same envelope.
