Fabulous red, retro, vintage telephone. A cool piece of amazing wall art.
I made this in response to lock down 2020 and the need to rethink how we stay in touch and communicate.
We had a beautiful phone like this in the 1970s and I remember what an event it was for the phone to ring. How times have changed. This piece is also about broken relationships be they friendship, ex lovers or family. These are people that in our hearts we loved and somehow these relationships become fractured and broken. Perhaps in these times of change it is a time of re evaluation, is it really worth the loss of those relationships or is it as simple as calling someone to mend what has been broken or at least reach out? Call me.... call them... stay in touch.
