Full description
This is from a gorgeous piece of old yew, from a monastery in the Carse of Gowrie, between Perth and Dundee, Scotland. It has a fabulous range of colour from orange to deeper brown. As you'll see it has holes and 'waney' edges (bark/natural edges) and some burry patches.
This piece of wood is worth just displaying for it's own sake, but it can also be used as a bowl, it has a raised foot, and is foodsafe.
It's just under 9" square, unique and piece of history.
