Making something powered only by the wind in your garden is a joy to watch. They are commonly called Whirligigs or a term called Automata! I have made many of both and after some feed back from previous customers, I have decided to make individual kits to help people along with their projects and dreams.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
This English Oak is up-cycled from Centenary timber milled by myself and know it is over 130 years old! This is a hand made Whirligig Hub and comes as a kit with three blades from the same milling.
I have taken plenty of pictures for reference which shows the dimensions of the finished whirligig.
Other items of value is the hub which I have drilled to 6.5mm wide allowing for either a 6mm dowel or A chunky screw to allow free spinning.
Everything has been sanded and are coated with 2 coats of extra strong varnish for protection from the elements.
We would recommend a decent wood glue (not provided) to glue the blades to the hub.
All blades are equal and cut with a subtle difference which allows you to line up the blades before the wood glue sets!
We will be making many more parts and completed Whirligigs in the near future
