Full description
This is such a magical pendant. I have created this silver fairy wing necklace using the plique-a-jour enamel technique with sterling silver. This technique involves cutting out the fairy wing shape and then creating the small cut out areas with a jewellers saw. These areas are then filled with wet transparent enamel which is left to dry out and then fired in a kiln. This is repeated many times until the areas of the wing are filled. It's a slow process that takes patience and a steady hand.
When the fairy wing is held up to the light the wing shines like stained glass which is beautiful. This is a really unique necklace which would make a wonderful gift for a loved one.
There have been 4 fairy wings created and you can select your favourite from the menu.
Your fairy wing pendant will be supplied on an 18 inch sterling silver chain and delivered gift wrapped in a Thistledown Wishes gift box. If you would prefer a different chain length, please just let me know, The height of the pendants is approximately 3 cm.
